Berbicara atau berkomentar sesudah peristiwa terjadi tentu saja lebih mudah. Namun besarnya tugas yang harus dipanggul oleh Moyes sebenarnya sudah terisyaratkan ketika Ferguson dalam sebuah liburan ke Amerika Serikat meluangkan waktu untuk diwawancarai sebuah stasiun televisi di sana.

"Kalaulah bukan seorang gagah berani, ia pastilah seorang penjudi kelas berat," ujar sang pewancara kepada Sir Alex Ferguson mengenai David Moyes yang menggantikannya.

Wawancara dilakukan sekitar dua bulan setelah Ferguson mengundurkan diri. Dan dunia sepakbola masih meraba-raba dan belum benar-benar bisa menilai akan kemungkinan sukses tidaknya Moyes di Man United.

"Akan lebih mudah menggantikan orang yang mengganti Alex Ferguson ketimbang menggantikan Alex Ferguson," lanjut si pewancara seolah menebar ramalan apa yang akan terjadi di akhir cerita petualangan Moyes itu.

Ferguson yang tampak lebih riang dan segar wajahnya setelah mundur dari 26 tahun menjadi orang nomor satu di klub itu tersenyum membenarkan. Lalu ia menjawab, "Gagah berani saya setuju. Penjudi berat....? Saya kira orang pada titik tertentu dalam hidupnya harus berani mengambil langkah dengan menimbang risiko kalau ingin menemukan jati dirinya."

Kini kita semua sudah tahu akhir cerita dari "petualangan" Moyes di Man United. Mimpi indah untuk memegang salah satu klub terbesar di Inggris itu berakhir "bencana" bagi Moyes. Ia gagal. Reputasinya tercoreng. Dan proses untuk menemukan jati diri yang sesungguhnya sedang berjalan. Bukan ketika ia mulai memegang Man United tetapi justru sesudahnya. Good luck.

Kapten Timnas U-19: Indonesia Pasti Bisa

Jakarta - Indonesia akan bertarung di Piala Asia U-19 2014 bulan Oktober mendatang. Tak menakar-nakar kekuatan tim-tim pesaing di fase grup, Kapten evan Dimas yakin mereka bisa tampil terbaik.

Indonesia tergabung di Grup B bersama Uzbekistan, Australia dan Uni Emirat Arab di Piala Asia yang bakal digelar di Myanmar, 9-23 Oktober. Dari 16 kontestan, empat yang melangkah ke semifinal otomatis akan tampil di putaran final Piala Dunia U-20 di Selandia Baru pada 2015.

"Kalau saya menilai, semua negara yang lolos ke Piala Asia itu semua kuat. Meskipun kita pernah melawan mereka UEA, tapi itu bukan jaminan kita bisa melakukannya lagi dengan mudah. Pasti mereka membuat perbaikan-perbaikan di timnya," ujar Evan saat dihubungi, Jumat (25/4).

Belum lama ini pasukan "Garuda Muda" berujicoba melawan UEA saat melakoni tur Timur Tengah. Hasilnya, tim besutan Indra Sjafri menang 4-1 dan 2-1.

Evan menyadari di Grup B Uzbekistan lebih diunggulkan. Namun, pemain asal Surabaya itu tetap yakin Indonesia bisa mencapai hasil maksimal dengan dukungan masyarakat.

"Banyak yang bilang Uzbekistan sebagai unggulan, dan Australia berat. Tapi saya yakin Indonesia bisa. Karena tugas kita, siapapun lawannya harus siap untuk dihadapi," tegasnya.

Di babak kualifikasi, Indonesia (G) dan UEA adalah juara grup masing-masing, sedangkan Uzbekistan (A) dan Australia (F) berstatus runner-up grup.

Moyes Pede MU Bisa Juara

Penampilan Manchester United saat menyingkirkan Olympiakos menimbulkan keyakinan pada manajernya, David Moyes. Moyes mengaku tak ragu bahwa MU bisa keluar sebagai juara Liga Champions.

The Red Devils mampu membalikkan defisit dua gol di leg I dengan kemenangan 3-0 atas Olympiakos di laga leg II babak 16 Besar dinihari tadi. Dengan keunggulan agregat 3-2, MU berhak melaju ke perempatfinal.

Di babak selanjutnya, MU akan ditunggu tim-tim tangguh seperti Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, Paris St. Germain ataupun Real Madrid.

Moyes sadar kalau timnya bukanlah tim unggulan. Mengingat performa yang kurang inkonsisten di musim ini namun ia optimistis MU bisa bersaing dengan tim manapun jika bermain memenuhi potensinya.

"Kami mungkin memasuki babak perempatfinal sebagai tim underdog tapi saya kira tak ada alasan kenapa kami tidak bisa juara," sahut manajer MU ini yakin seperti dikutip dari situs resmi klub.

"Klub sepakbola ini bisa melakukannya. Jika kami bermain dengan kemampuan kami, yang mana kami tidak melakukannya terlalu sering di musim ini, saya kira kami bisa bersaing dengan tim manapun."

"Klub ini punya sejarah di kompetisi ini. Mereka tahu apa yang harus dilakukan di tahap ini. Kami tidak terkejut berada di perempatfinal -- ini sesuatu yang kami lakukan secara rutin. Kami akan mencoba lolos ke semifinal sekarang."

Jumpa Fiorentina Lagi, Juve Berbekal Kemenangan di Liga

Setelah bersua di Serie A, Juve akan kembali bertemu Fiorentina di Liga Europa. Kemenangan di liga menjadi bekal positif Juve untuk kembali meredam La Viola.

Di Serie A giornata 27 lalu, Juve memetik kemenangan tipis 1-0 atas Fiorentina. Gol tunggal kemenangan Juve dilesakkan oleh Kwadwo Asamoah.

Babak 16 besar Liga Europa kembali mempertemukan Juve dan Fiorentina. Laga leg pertama akan digelar di Juventus Stadium, Kamis (13/3/2014) atau Jumat (14/3/2014) dinihari WIB.

Kemenangan di liga disebut Asamoah menjadi bekal bagus bagi Juve untuk kembali menghadapi Fiorentina di Liga Europa. Mereka telah mengambil pelajaran dari laga akhir pekan lalu.

"Aku pikir kemenangan itu berguna untuk memahami banyak hal jelang menghadapi tantangan dari Fiorentina di Eropa," ujar Asamoah seperti dikutip Football Italia.

"Kami menganalisis kesalahan kami lewat rekaman video untuk memahami bagaimana kami harus mendekati pertandingan di hari Kamis," lanjut gelandang asal Ghana itu.

"Setiap pertandingan punya ceritanya sendiri dan banyak bergantung pada bagaimana kami bersikap di lapangan. Itulah mengapa kami selalu bekerja untuk meningkatkan diri," lugasnya.

Barca & Madrid Cari Modal Positif Jelang El Clasico

Duel El Clasico jilid kedua musim ini sekitar sepekan lagi . Namun, sebelum itu Barcelona dan Real Madrid lebih dulu akan mencari modal positif pada akhir pekan ini.

Barca sedikit lebih diuntungkan dengan "bebas" dari Liga Champions. Menyusul kemenangan atas Manchester City 2-1 (agregat 4-1) di Camp Nou pada dinihari tadi untuk membawa Lionel Messi dkk. ke perempatfinal.

Berjarak tiga dari dari sekarang, The Catalans akan menjamu Osasuna. Target Barca tak sekadar menjaga kansnya dalam perburuan namun sekaligus untuk mengembalikan tren positifnya di liga.

Barca sudah menelan dua kekalahan dalam lima pertandingan terakhirnya di mana pada laga sebelumnya mereka tampil mengecewakan sehingga kalah 0-1 oleh tim papan bawah Real Valladolid.

Melawan Osasuna, haram bagi Barca terpeleset lagi. Dengan asumsi Madrid berpotensi menang melawan Malaga, Blaugrana tentu tidak ingin tertinggal lebih jauh lagi jika tidak ingin peluangnya dalam mempertahankan gelar juara, menguap.

Sementara itu, Atletico Madrid akan kedatangan Espanyol di Vicente Calderon. Los Colchoneros akan terus mencoba meraih angka penuh agar terhindar dari kejaran Barca, yang hanya satu angka di belakang mereka.

Kemenangan 2-0 di Celta Vigo di jornada 27 plus hasil gemilang usai menggilas AC Milan 4-1 di Liga Champions tadi malam akan mendongkrak motivasi tim besutan Diego Simeone ini. Terlebih Espanyol terbukti bukan lawan yang mudah untuk Atletico.

Walaupun memenangi tiga dari lima duel terakhirnya, Espanyol sukses mengalahkan Atletico 1-0 di Cornella El-Prat, Oktober silam.
